Land Acknowledgement

I respectfully and gratefully acknowledge that I live, work and play within the traditional territory of the KLaich-Kwil-Tach people of the Wei Wai Kum and We Wai Kai First Nations on Vancouver Island (head office), as well as the Okanagan nation and Syilx peoples on the mainland of British Columbia (secondary office).

I also wish to acknowledge the land on which my webservers operate (Toronto). For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and I are grateful to have the opportunity to benefit from this land.

If any of the above makes you uncomfortable reading on websites, or hearing prior to events — it should. Our prosperity is built on theft and genocide. These statements are the bare minimum anyone could possibly start. Talk is cheap, let's figure out some constructive action now, yeah? That said, I'm an idiot. If you're indigenous and got any ideas, let me know. I promise to do my best not to be an idiot when listening.
